Rep. Jason Buchsbaum had an opportunity to visit the Southbury Public Library’s temporary location at the Heritage Hotel. The location is easily accessed through the Hotel’s side entrance (black awning), or patrons can go through the main entrance and follow signs to the library set up. He met with Head Librarian Heather Aronson who showed him around the space and explained the services offered.
This temporary location is providing various library services while the town is working to make repairs to the Poverty Road location from the extreme damage caused by the August flooding. At the temporary site in Heritage Hotel, you can check out and return library books, DVDs, Museum Passes and other materials. “During my time as a Southbury Selectman, I was proud to serve as liaison to the Library Board of Trustees. The Southbury Library is an important part of the Southbury community and it is great to see it up and running at a temporary location. Heather and the entire library staff have done tremendous work under very difficult circumstances navigating these last few months and are excited to welcome the public,” said Rep. Buchsbaum.
