    The Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting STAND DOWN 2025 at the Danbury War Memorial on Friday. This “one stop” access features a range of programs and services offered by state and federal agencies, Veterans organizations, and community-based non-profits. The DVA event is open to Connecticut’s Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel.

    The list of providers slated to be at the Danbury regional site can be found on the CT DVA website.

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) – will provide free transportation, Veteran Attendees in the Danbury area wishing to attend the CT Stand Down event may access regular (proof of military status required) bus service in their local area. Seniors or persons with a mobility disability in the Danbury area can get door-to-door dial-a-ride service if they register ahead of time at https://www.hartransit.com/dial-ride.
