    Tax Relief Budget…

The document champions historic funding levels for education and nonprofit organizations, while reducing funding for state agencies that had overestimated payroll costs.

Additional highlights of the plan include:

    • Cuts middle class taxes retroactively
    • Implements a first time child tax deduction ($2k per child)
    • Eliminates taxes on children’s clothing under $100
    • Establishes a phase-out of the threshold on retirement income tax
    • Fully funds special education grants
    • Increases funding for the Litchfield County Regional Fire School

    Additional Capitol Updates…

Congratulations to Granby attorney Glenn Dowd whose nomination to the Judicial Review Council was approved by the House and Senate.
