(HARTFORD) — On Monday, the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) released their 2023 Legislative Voting Records grading General Assembly members on their support for key bills that promote local business, economic development, and a positive post-pandemic recovery. In their records, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) received a perfect score, demonstrating his commitment to business owners and our workforce throughout Connecticut.

“I am honored to once again receive a 100% voting record from the CBIA,” said Ackert on Monday. “Being a business owner not only gives me a unique legislative perspective, but it was what first motivated me to serve in the state legislature. Now, as Ranking Member of the Labor and Public Employees Committee, I know how important it is to prioritize the needs of our business owners and employees as they grapple with the effects of inflation and high prices.”

The CBIA’s mission is to advocate at the state Capitol for policies that support job creation, foster economic growth, and help businesses compete. As the largest leading business organization, the CBIA also offers services and informational updates to owners and employees to help track legislation and submit public testimony throughout the legislative session.

Ackert added, “I want to thank CBIA and congratulate all recognized legislators for their dedication to local business. This year, I supported bills promoting sick leave expansion, paid FMLA offsets, salary disclosure on job advertisements, and general workforce development. Moving forward, I will continue my support for local business owners and employees, encouraging all residents to reach out to me so I can continue making your voice heard.”
