Upcoming Veterans Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics

I just wanted you to know that the VA Connecticut Healthcare System is hosting several Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics for veterans at locations throughout the state.

Other clinics and locations are added to the VA’s online calendar as they are scheduled, so please check back often.

Upcoming Clinics:

  • April 10 from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – New London Clinic, 4 Shaw’s Cove (Johnson and Johnson)

Rep. Yaccarino Applauds the Passage of House Bill 6640 out of the Legislature’s Planning and Development Committee

The General Assembly’s Planning and Development Committee passed Wednesday, with broad and bipartisan support, a bill which Rep. Yaccarino introduced that would modify the organization of the Cedar Hills Infrastructure Improvement District in North Haven to allow for future economic development.

House Bill 6640, An Act Concerning The Cedar Hills Infrastructure Improvement District, passed unanimously out of the committee process and is expected to be voted on the floor of the House of Representatives

Reminder: Individuals Ages 16-44 Eligible to Register for COVID Vaccine Tomorrow!

This is a reminder that Connecticut residents between the ages of 16 and 44 who wish to receive a COVID-19 vaccination will be eligible beginning tomorrow, April 1!

Visit the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Portal to view scheduling options.

Those currently eligible to receive a vaccination will continue to be eligible. This includes:

  • All individuals over the age of 45;
  • Healthcare personnel;
  • Medical first responders;
  • Residents and staff of long-term care facilities;
  • Residents and staff of select congregate

State to Loosen COVID-19 Restrictions on 3/19

I just wanted to remind you that beginning Friday, March 19, the state is loosening some restrictions on businesses, houses of worship, and athletic activities.

Friday, March 19, 2021:

  • All capacity limits will be lifted on restaurants (8-person table capacity, 11:00 p.m. closing time remain), retail, libraries, personal services, theaters (50 percent capacity), gyms/fitness centers, offices, houses of worship, museums, aquariums, and zoos
  • Private residences may host up to 25 people indoors, 100
