Yesterday, House and Senate Republicans held a press conference to outline our proposal for tax relief to make Connecticut more affordable for residents. Inflation is here. Relief must be too.

Reps. Fishbein and Candelora, State Sen. Ciccarella Recognize Wallingford’s Mitchell Wollen

State Representatives Craig Fishbein and Vin Candelora were joined by State Senator Paul Ciccarella in the House Chamber today to recognize Wallingford’s Mitchell Wollen for his outstanding community service and charity work during the past two years.  Wollen, a senior at Xavier High School in Middletown, took his passion for helping others and created two separate charitable projects, including “Hearts for Healthcare Heroes” and “Wood for Warriors” to raise money for healthcare workers and veterans.

National Drug Take Back Day is April 30th

I just wanted you to know that Saturday, April 30th, is National Drug Take Back Day. The Take Back Day is part of the DEA’s National Take Back Initiative to safely dispose of unwanted medications.

This year, the Wallingford Police Department and Coalition for a Better Wallingford are holding a drug take back event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the police station parking lot located at 135 N. Main St. Drivers will be able to pull in, hand over the items and exit without having to leave their vehicle.
