Early voting for the 2024 Presidential Primary has officially begun and will continue for the following days: March 26, 27, 28, and 30. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to experience early voting, or as I say, expanded voting, with the hardworking employees at Coventry Town Hall.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Early voting was approved by Connecticut voters in 2022. During the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly authorized in-person early voting for elections held after April 1, 2024. Under this schedule, the first election utilizing early voting will be the Presidential Preference Primary on April 2, 2024.

The early voting dates for this election have been modified to reflect the Good Friday holiday and Easter Sunday. Early Voting will be held Tuesday, March 26

(HARTFORD) — On Thursday, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-8) testified in strong support of amending House Bill 5413, “An Act Concerning the Illegal Use of Certain Vehicles and Street Takeovers. In his testimony before the Judiciary Committee, he demands inserting language that classifies organizing street takeovers as a Class D Felony for the first offense, and a Class C Felony for any repeating offenses.
