(HARTFORD) – On Wednesday, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-Coventry) held a press conference calling for an amendment to state apprenticeship hiring ratios in certain construction trades. (COVENTRY) — Today, the Connecticut Department of Transportation awarded more than $9 million in state grants for transportation infrastructure and safety upgrades in ten rural communities throughout our state. Among the towns, State Representative Tim Ackert (R-Coventry) announced that his hometown will be receiving $498,000 for general pedestrian safety improvements.
