HARTFORD – State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus participated in a Women’s Leadership Forum at the State Capitol on Wednesday, April 4th, where she joined women leaders to talk about how to get more women a seat at the table and involved in politics.

“It is so important for women leaders to mentor a younger woman,” said Rep. Zupkus. “We need to lead by example and show younger women that they don’t have to be afraid to speak their minds or to enter a field that is dominated by men. Women can do anything and be anyone, all it takes is confidence.”

The forum was hosted by the Aurora Foundation for Women and Girls, which focuses on promoting college completion and success for women in Greater Hartford.
