(HARTFORD) — On Thursday, State Representative Joe Zullo (R-99) discussed House Bill 6590 An Act Concerning Certain Protections for Group and Family Child Care Homes that reduces red tape and expands access to opening small family and group child care homes. Zullo, a proponent of the bill, proudly spoke to improve access to quality, affordable, accessible child care for all Connecticut residents and families.

“What I care about is the working family who is trying to find quality daycare,” said Zullo in his address on the House floor. “This bill will significantly help the single parent who is at home working an additional job trying to pay for daycare, or the stay-at-home parent who is working as a childcare professional. As a resident of a small town community, neighboring countless in-home businesses, this is a business that I believe aligns with our small town, middle class values which is why I am supporting it today.”
