Zullo Achieves 100% ‘Pro-Business’ Voting Record According to CT’s Business Industry Association

HARTFORD – The Connecticut Business Industry Association (CBIA) recently released its 2021 legislative voting record scores. CBIA represents hundreds of businesses throughout Connecticut and advocates to the legislature on their behalf. The scores generated are based on the legislator’s support of the various topics endorsed by CBIA. State Rep. Joe Zullo (R-East Haven) was recognized by the organization as having achieved a 100% ‘pro-business’ voting record.

Zullo stood with the business community this session in the face of hundreds of proposals that would have made the cost of doing business in Connecticut unreasonable. In addition to fighting ‘tax and spend’ policies, which often leave business owners footing the bill for new state initiatives, Zullo supported common-sense measures that will make conducting business in Connecticut easier, and safer, in a post-pandemic society.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, business owners have reached out to me and I have been doing my best to listen to their concerns and support policies that will help them get back to operating normally. For example, as we move into further dependence on the digital space, I supported a new law that incentivizes businesses to invest in higher standards of cyber security for on-line transactions and record keeping. This policy change bolsters the integrity of our state’s businesses while protecting our consumers,” explained Rep. Zullo.
