HARTFORD – On Tuesday, House Republican Leader Themis Klarides named newly elected State Rep. Joe Zullo to the “Housing,” “Veteran’s Affairs,” and “Finance, Revenue and Bonding” Committees.

“I am ready to get to work on behalf of the residents of East Haven,” said Rep. Zullo. “While door knocking during the campaign, residents voiced a clear desire for our State government to start reining in reckless spending and expressed disappointment about newly proposed taxes and the implementation of tolls. Moving forward, I will fight against wasteful spending and the newly proposed taxes that threaten to hurt middle class families in East Haven and across Connecticut .”

Rep. Zullo was sworn-in last week and will have his first committee meeting (Veteran’s Affairs) on Thursday.

Zullo added, “We have a large veteran contingent in East Haven and I am very proud to be starting off my tenure in the legislature discussing what we can do for all the dedicated service people across the State who have done so much for us all.”
