Yesterday, I joined my colleagues to pass House Resolution 12 which provides pension benefits to the families of fallen state troopers and other state employees who die in the line of duty. This would amend current state law which prevents certain surviving spouses of individuals killed in the line of duty to receive pension benefits, barring families of fallen officers to receive support following a tragedy.
