We Hear You, East Haven!
Today, I joined the House and Senate Republican caucuses in releasing our Affordable Energy Plan that shifts the weight of these high electric costs back off of our ratepayers.
In our plan we propose:
Removing the Public Benefits Charge into the state budget
Capping the amount we spend on energy to reflect the wholesale price
Separate the PURA from DEEP
Eliminate incentives that increase the demand for electricity, like the Electric Vehicle mandate
Study ways to increase the supply of Natural Gas
