(EAST HAVEN) — Recently, the Connecticut Department of Economic & Community Development’s (DECD) Office of the Arts announced a total of $1,050,000 in state arts grants for CT arts organizations and municipalities. In their announcement, the East Haven Arts Commission was awarded $4,215 to support local arts programs and other community-based art initiatives.

I want to personally congratulate the East Haven Arts Commission for their award and thank them for their investment in our community through a diverse expression of the arts! I am excited to see the many benefits of these grants within East Haven and throughout our state.

The Supporting Arts grant program provides general operating support to Connecticut arts organizations and municipal arts departments. This type of grant is flexible and gives the grantee the ability to use the funds where they are most needed. State and federal funds, from the National Endowment for the Arts, support this program. For more information about the Supporting Arts grant program, visit the link HERE.
