Zawistowski, Storms Applaud New Animal Center in Suffield

SUFFIELD – State Representatives Tami Zawistowski (R-61) and Scott Storms recently joined members of the community for a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of the grand opening of River Valley Animal Center in Suffield.
The 15,178 square foot state-of-the-art facility features 93 kennel runs, hospital exam rooms, a CT scan room, MRI exam room, procedure rooms, treatment rooms, as well as a waiting room and reception area. The facility also features heated floors and two outdoor play area courtyards so that no animals will be outside of the building footprint.
“This state of the art veterinary and small animal boarding facility is an important addition to Suffield’s business community,” said Rep. Zawistowski. “Congratulations to Mohan Sachdev on planning and constructing such an attractive place to keep our pets healthy and safe.”
The facility, owned and operated by Dr. Mohan Sachdev, will employee 10 individuals who will tend to both the kennel and animal hospital. Other services offered by the animal hospital include: nutritional counseling, surgery, microchipping, preventative medicine, diagnostics and event an on-site pharmacy.
“I am pleased that such an advanced and extensive veterinarian hospital is available to the people of North Central Connecticut,” added Rep. Storms. “I commend Dr. Sachdev on his continuing investment in our communities and extend my very best wishes for much success in his newest venture.”
The River Valley Animal Center is open for business and is accepting appointments now.
