Zawistowski, Kissel Applaud State Funding to Suffield Farm

SUFFIELD- State Rep. Tami Zawistowski (R-61) and State Sen. John A. Kissel (R-7) applaud Wednesday’s announcement by the State’s Bond Commission to award funds through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to provide a loan to Four Season Farm, LLC in Suffield, CT.
“I want to thank my colleagues in the Bond Commission as they have recognized a great opportunity for my community to expand the workforce,” said Rep. Zawistowski. “This funding will help to create an additional forty jobs within the next two years in my community.”
“I applaud the State Bond Commission for authorizing these funds for the Four Season Farm in Suffield,” said Sen. Kissel. “This is an excellent opportunity for the town of Suffield to increase its commercial tax base and to further invest in Suffield’s agricultural community. This project also has the potential to create 40 new jobs, ultimately helping middle-class families throughout North-Central Connecticut.”
The funds will be in the amount of $3 million and will be used to assist with machinery, equipment and construction of a hydroponic tomato farm. Four Season Farm, LLC, based in Stamford, CT, plans to create at least 40 jobs within the next two years due to the expansion.
