Zawistowski Applauds Loan for Suffield Company

HARTFORD — State Rep. Tami Zawistowski on Tuesday applauded a state Bond Commission loan that will help a successful company in Suffield expand its facility and hire more staff.
Members of the Bond Commission approved a $1.5 million loan for Windsor Marketing Group Inc. According to the agreement, the company will retain 138 jobs and create up to 27 more.
“Windsor Marketing Group has been a great partner to the community, and its solid track record certainly illustrates that it’s a company worth lending a hand to,” said Zawistowski, a member of the legislature’s bipartisan Manufacturing Caucus. “I look forward to watching it grow deeper roots here.”
Windsor Marketing Group is an innovative in-store marketing group that creates, produces, and delivers shopper marketing programs that inspire and influence in-store buying patterns. The company was founded in 1976 and has grown to nearly 200 associates serving over 3,000 clients including some of the largest retailers in the U.S.
Zawistowski joined WMG CEO Kevin Armata and Donna Murphy, WMG’s Executive Director for Group Advancement, at Tuesday’s commission meeting. Last fall, Zawistowski worked with WMG’s leadership team in communicating with the Department of Economic and Community Development. That agency’s commissioner, Catherine Smith, was also on hand for Tuesday’s meeting.
“We want to thank the CT DECD and the Governor for incentives approved at today’s Bond Commission Hearing and thank Representative Tami Zawistowski for her tireless support throughout this entire process,” said Armata, founder & CEO of Windsor Marketing Group. “It is a great example of the state government working to help local businesses, like WMG, to expand and grow in Connecticut.”
Windsor Marketing Group has been recognized by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association for championing an environmentally and socially responsible business model.
