Reps. Storms and Zawistowski present a citation to Windsor Lions President James Daniels
Windsor – Representatives Tami Zawistowski (R-61) and Scott Storms (R-60) joined the Windsor Lions Club Saturday October 14th for a grand reopening of The Connecticut Valley Agricultural Museum featuring new CRISAccess text readers to aid patrons with impaired vision or text disabilities. The Windsor Lions in collaboration with CRIS (Connecticut Radio Information System) outfitted the museum with QR codes and wifi access so patrons with text disabilities can simply scan the code using CRISAccess and listen to a narration of the printed signs. The project was paid for with a grant from CT Humanities, The Windsor Lions Club and local sponsorships. The Representatives presented a citation congratulating the Windsor Lions Club for their community service efforts and their collaboration to make local history more accessible to people with disabilities.
