Rep. Zawistowski with Molly and Tim Devanney
Suffield – State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) attended a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of Connecticut’s first ‘Smart’ grocery store. The Suffield Highland Park Market partnered with JouleSmart to install new ‘Smart’ technology energy systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Rep. Zawistowski congratulated Highland Park Market, the Devanney family and JouleSmart, “Today’s event is particularly exciting for two reasons: First they’ve demonstrated that this technology that has been in use for larger companies can be scaled back – affordably – for use in smaller companies, especially those like grocery stores that are big consumers of energy. Second, because it’s happening right here in Suffield, and we’re proud of that.” Highland Park Market is a family owned and operated local grocery chain.
