    Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the ceremonial bill signing Special Act 21-3 (House Bill 6610), An Act Concerning the Outdoor Sale of Goods and Provisions of Food and Beverage Services, with Governor Lamont, fellow state legislators, and municipal leaders held at Millwrights Restaurant and Tavern. This legislation will ease restrictions on outside dining and allow restaurants to supplement their indoor occupancy restrictions with outdoor seating.

As a cosponsor of House Bill 6610 and Vice-Chair of the Tourism Caucus, I’m happy to see this legislation come to fruition. This bipartisan bill provides much-needed help to an industry that has been devastated by the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. HB 6610 is vital to the recovery of the restaurant industry and will undoubtedly save jobs and businesses and continue to push us towards the path of recovery.

Special thanks to Tyler Anderson, co-owner and chef of Millwrights Restaurant and Tavern, for hosting us.
