HARTFORD- State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) took the oath-of-office for her third full term representing the 61st General Assembly district which includes Suffield, East Granby and part of Windsor.
“I am excited to begin a new term serving the people of Suffield, East Granby and Windsor,” said Rep. Zawistowski. “A new administration and a less balanced composition of the General Assembly will present new challenges. We need to continue moving forward with reforms – with an estimated $4+ billion projected deficit in the coming two year budget cycle we cannot afford to fall back into the old habits that created our economic and financial problems.”
Rep. Zawistowski will continue in her role as Ranking Member of the legislature’s Planning & Development Committee and will again serve as a member of the budget-writing Appropriations Committee and Transportation Committee.
