State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) proudly announced that she is once again teaming up with Suffield Community Aid and the Suffield Police Department to collect non-perishable food items during the annual Stuff a Cruiser event!

This year, the popular community event will take place at the Suffield Village Market, located at 68 Bridge St., Suffield, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by and say hello and, if they’re able, drop off a non-perishable food item, paper goods or toiletry items to benefit families-in-need right here in our community. All donations and proceeds will directly benefit Suffield Community Aid!

“This amazing event brings so many people together and I am always overwhelmed by the response from the generous people of Suffield and the surrounding area who always go above and beyond to help their community,” Rep. Zawistowski said. “Suffield Community Aid does so much to help others, I’m excited I was again able to partner with the Suffield Police to help by collecting much-needed food and supplies to further their mission.”

According to the SCA website, they generally have enough assorted canned vegetables, beans & soup, but encourage people to “think outside the can!” They also politely ask for PET FOOD donations for their furry friends! Please no open or expired items.
