State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) proudly announced that she is teaming up with the East Granby Fire Department to help collect back-to-school items for local students, and gift cards to purchase supplies, during the inaugural Stuff a Truck event at the East Granby Farmers Market from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025.

The Farmers Market is located in the Liquor Cabinet Plaza, 50 Rainbow Rd., East Granby.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by and say hello and, if they’re able, drop off a needed school supply item to benefit students in the community. Donations will be distributed by East Granby Social Services, and will directly benefit East Granby students! East Granby Social Services can also accept gift cards from Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Staples.   Donations of food or paper goods will benefit Friend to Friend Food Pantry.

“With your help, we can make sure the kids have the supplies they need, and I want to thank the East Granby Fire Department for partnering with me to help these students be successful on the first day of school,” Rep. Zawistowski said. ”
