SUFFIELD – State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) celebrated Read Across America Day on Friday, March 1st with Mrs. Wosko’s 1st grade class at Spaulding Elementary School. Rep. Zawistowski read a book called “Wiggles” about a happy dog that lives on a farm.
Read Across America Day is an annual tradition promoting early childhood literacy and celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Now in its 22nd year, this annual day focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
