    Dear Friends & Neighbors,

    I am pleased to share with you that the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will be reopening the Windsor Locks Canal State Park & Trail. Today crews from DEEP will be clearing brush and debris from the property ahead of the reopening on Saturday, July 21st.

    The trail has been closed since June due to insurance issues, the Windsor Locks Canal Company has agreed to the reopening of the trail while a new agreement is reached.

    The canal trail is an important and unique asset for the region and I hope you will enjoy the use of the trail during the summer season!
