Only days after the sticker shock of massive energy bill increases were felt across the state, PURA has granted YET ANOTHER ADJUSTMENT (read: increase) to Eversource and UI, this time to recoup the cost of setting up EV charging stations!
Essentially, you are going to be paying for someone else to be able to charge their car!
It’s ridiculous, and yet another reason my Republican colleagues and I have called for a special session to bring together lawmakers, utility companies, and government regulators to develop a reasonable state strategy on energy.
Ratepayers cannot afford another massive increase.
