Public Hearing on Privatization on Some DMV Services

Public Hearing on Privatization on Some DMV Services

Do you wish the DMV would run more efficiently? A public hearing will be held Wednesday, March 16 on a proposal which would help DMV run more efficiently by allowing the state to expand the types of services that can be provided by private contractors such as AAA. Currently, residents can obtain limited license services at AAA but there are many other services such as CDL licensing or title transactions that could be done. States across the nation provide efficient services and we should do the same.

    Here’s how you can help:

Click here to submit your testimony on why you support this bill to privatize DMV services and be sure to copy Rep. Tami Zawistowski at tami.zawistowski@housegop.ct.gov. Your testimony can be as brief as you like. Be sure to include your name and town. Refer to the bill as House Bill 5041. Spread the word to others about this opportunity to make government more efficient!

The hearing will be held Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. in Room 1E of the Legislative Office Building.

You can find a copy of the bill here.

If you have questions, contact Zawistowski’s office at (800) 842-1423 tami.zawistowski@housegop.ct.gov
