Hartford – State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) joined with colleagues and other state officials to celebrate the 27th Annual Polish Day at the Capitol. The day marks the anniversary of the Polish Constitution of 1791 with a celebration of Polish culture and recognition of the contributions of Polish-Americans. One of the honorees this year was Robert Iwanicki who was born in Poland and was involved with the Solidarity Movement and immigrated to the United States in 1986. He currently volunteers for many community organizations and Polish-American associations.
