In the coming days and months, you may notice a change in the takeoff and landing patterns at Bradley International Airport which may create different noise patterns in the area, including over East Granby, Suffield and Windsor Locks.
Due to regularly scheduled maintenance of the facility, the airport is undertaking important required safety upgrades that include the milling and resurfacing of runway 6-24 and taxi areas, electrical upgrades to lighting and weather sensors, and more.
According to airport officials, construction is scheduled to begin imminently, and runway 6-24 will be closed for the entire duration of the project which is estimated to be complete in early November 2025.
