Many pieces of legislation were debated and passed by the General Assembly during the 2016 regular and special sessions. To help keep you informed about this legislation, the non-partisan Office of Legislative Research (OLR) has released summaries of the “2016 Major Public Acts”. You can view the report below, or click here to see/download it in PDF format. Topics outlined in the report include criminal justice, children and families, consumer protection, education, and transportation. This report is by no means exhaustive, and does not cover every piece of legislation passed. The summaries are intended to be brief; more detailed information can be found here. If you would like to discuss these or any other issues that came before the legislature this session, contact Rep. Tami Zawistowski at either tami.zawistowski@housegop.ct.gov or 800-842-1423.
