Many significant pieces of legislation were debated and passed by the General Assembly during the 2014 legislative session, which adjourned earlier this month. To help keep you informed about this legislation, the non-partisan Office of Legislative Research (OLR) has released summaries of the “2014 Major Public Acts”. To view the report, please click here.

Topics outlined in the report include the state’s midterm budget adjustments, business and jobs, children and families, consumer protection, education, and transportation.

This report is by no means exhaustive, and does not cover every piece of legislation passed. The summaries are intended to be brief; OLR will release much more detailed summaries of all public acts later this summer.

If you would like to discuss these or any other issues that came before the legislature this session, please do not hesitate to contact Rep. Zawistowski at 800-842-1423.
