As a former police officer, I know the brotherhood that comes with putting on the uniform and the dedication each of our law enforcement officers have to protecting and serving our residents.

This session I was proud to stand in support of Public Act 24-27, a House Republican initiative recently signed into law, that establishes a Fallen Officers Fund. DOT to Replace and Upgrade All Existing Pedestrian and School Crossing Signs at Uncontrolled Intersections

The Department of Transportation is developing plans to replace and upgrade all existing pedestrian and school crossing signs at uncontrolled intersections in Glastonbury.
According to DOT, many of the pedestrian and school crossing signs are close to the end of their usable life. Replacing these signs with new, more retroreflective signs is critical for visibility and safety of pedestrians on State Roadways. The project is scheduled to begin construction in the Spring of 2025.

House Republicans Offer Plan to Balance FY25 Budget

In lieu of the lack of budgetary action from the majority members of the Appropriation Committee, my House Republican colleagues and I have released a plan to adjust the $25.9 billion budget for fiscal year 2025 (which would become effective on July 1).
If no action is taken, the governor would have the discretionary authority to make cuts or funding increases outside of the legislative session.

Pavement Marking Project – Bolton, Hebron and Glastonbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be conducting a pavement marking project in Bolton, Glastonbury, Hebron, and surrounding towns beginning Sunday, April 7 through Friday, November 8.
The project consists of pavement marking grooves and epoxy pavement marking applications on center lines, shoulder lines and handwork. No work will be performed the day before or day after all State recognized holidays.

State Capitol Hosts School Manufacturing ConnecCTion Fair

As part of the School Manufacturing ConneCTion Fair held today at the State Capitol, I had an opportunity to talk with several manufacturing companies from across our state and catch up with a constituent of mine Charles Daniels, President of Wepco Plastics.

Third-grade Students at Hebron Elementary Meet Their State Representative

I had the opportunity to talk with third-grade students from Hebron Elementary School (It was great to see Mr. Hurley!) who were visiting the State Capitol as part of a school tour. I will always make time to break from the chaotic day-to-day nature of committee meetings and other legislative events to meet with individuals and/or groups from our district, especially our teachers and their students.
