Glastonbury Legislative Town Hall

Posted on February 6, 2024

I appreciate everyone who came out last night to the Legislative Town Hall the Glastonbury delegation held at the Welles-Turner Memorial Library to discuss the issues most important to you, your family, and the community.

The EV mandate was the first topic brought up and was met with mixed feelings regarding its implementation. While those in support highlighted the need to do something to better our environment, others mentioned our electrical costs, questions about the grid as to reasons why they don’t support it.

Many residents expressed their frustrations with the increase in crime happening not only in Glastonbury but around the state and repeat offenders being released only to offend again. One gentleman even spoke about an attempted carjacking he experienced while driving to work.

Additional topics brought up included allowing towns the option to ban the sale of nips, neonicotinoids, affordable housing, and the safety of healthcare workers.

With the 2024 session convening tomorrow, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any issue or question you may have.
