    I’d like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to come out to the Legislative Update in Southington that Rep. Mastrofrancesco, Senator Sampson, and I held to hear from you to discuss the issues most important to you, your family, and the community.

    Last night’s conversation centered around the recent EV mandate and push to follow California’s emission standards which would ban the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035. The overall concern among residents is our astronomical electrical costs, questions about the strain it would place on our grid, how it impacts the ability of residents to choose which vehicle they want to drive, the timeline for this plan, and the burdensome costs it places on our residents.
