For almost two years, Connecticut’s residents have been screaming for their legislative body to provide some type of electric rate relief. Today, I voted against the status quo and in opposition to the reappointment of PURA Chairman Marissa Gillett.
During her time as chairman, she has unilaterally made decisions without the board, approved the longest shut-off moratorium in the country, and is currently holding back over $200 million in credits that Eversource wants to pass on to customers.
Its time for a change! The ratepayers of Connecticut deserve someone who is going to stand in their corner, at this point in time, it isn’t the current chairman.
