Sparking an interest among our young people in their government starts by highlighting the impact they can have on it. Today, interns from both parties participated in their annual Mock Legislative Session Day at the State Capitol.
The mock session provides interns with an opportunity to act as lawmakers by debating and voting on real bill proposals. As the Ranking Member of the Internship Committee, I have had the pleasure of watching these students take an active role in their internship and grow by the years end.
