HARTFORD — State Representative Tony Scott (R-112) was sworn in for his second term at the State Capitol in Hartford today alongside his wife, Jenn, and daughters, Lauren and Addison. Scott, who joins his 151 colleagues in the House of Representatives, says he will continue to serve the interests of the residents of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull.

“I stand ready to represent the hardworking residents of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull during this new legislative session.  The cost of government shouldn’t be a burden on those it serves, and I look forward to protecting the interests of all Connecticut residents and businesses during this ongoing debate in Hartford.”

House Minority Leader Vincent Candelora has appointed Scott as the ranking member of the Housing Committee.  In his new role, Scott will lead housing-related policy initiatives on behalf of House Republicans. He will also serve as a member of the General Law Committee, the Higher Education and Employment Committee.

As the legislative session at the Capitol gets under way, Rep. Scott encourages his constituents to keep in touch by calling his office at (800) 842-1423 (toll-free) or by writing him an email at Tony.Scott@housegop.ct.gov.

The session is scheduled to end June 7th.
