Monroe— State Representative Tony Scott (R-112) was among the community volunteers at Monroe Elementary School Monday morning, participating as guest speakers and to read to the students. This was part of the school’s Celebration of Reading event.
Scott read ‘Going Places’ by Peter and Paul Reynolds to Ms. Oltneau’s class.
“This was a fitting book for the theme of this year’s celebration. We talked about creativity, collaboration, and thinking outside of the box because the theme of this year’s celebration was about Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. This book celebrates the creative spirit and thinking outside the box,” said Scott.
