Rep. Tony Scott (R-Monroe) was invited by Connecticut Lottery officials to visit their headquarters to discuss gaming regulations and the future of CT Lottery.
“During this legislative session I introduced several bills to improve online gaming and protect consumers. One of my concepts was included in an omnibus bill and will require Sportsbooks to communicate with the patron (within 24 hours) if there was an error on the line of a bet or a bet is voided. CT Lottery partnered with Fanatics online sportsbook in December 2023,” said Rep. Scott.
Over recent years the organization has launched responsible gaming education programs. They also launched a financial literacy and education campaign called “Wise Winnings.” The first-of-its-kind in the nation program offers no-cost financial advice to CT Lottery cash prize winners, along with helpful tips on making a plan for a sudden windfall.
Their plans for the future include leveraging new technologies to make the agency an industry leader and more efficient.
