A bill I proposed this session has been accepted by the Public Health Committee and will be up for a public hearing on Monday. The concept was raised as a committee bill, SB 1190.
The Public Health Committee will be holding a hearing on my concept, now SB 1190, requiring all nursing homes to have an automated external defibrillator on site. To me, this a common sense proposal and I hope the committee decides to advance the concept through the legislative process.
