HARTFORD- Rep. Tony Scott, R-112th, took the opportunity to guide students from Jockey Hollow Middle School in his hometown of Monroe as they toured the Capitol and the Legislative Office Building in recent weeks.

Rep. Scott met with the 8th-grade students to discuss the legislative process while speaking in the House chambers. He’s always listening and available to his constituents who let him know about the issues that are important to them and their needs within his district, he told the class.

One group of students visiting the Capitol also had a chance to watch a press conference held by Gov. Lamont as he marked the departure of his Chief of Staff Paul Mounds Jr.

Rep. Scott told the class that every one of them has a voice, and he encouraged them to use it, whether it was when they get old enough to vote, or if there’s an issue that’s important to them or their parents, that they contact him to discuss it.
