TRUMBULL — State Representative David Rutigliano (R-123) along with other interested lawmakers visited Henkel’s Research and Development facility in Trumbull today to learn more about the company’s local operations and its impact on the community.
“Henkel is a great example of what makes Trumbull such a special place to live and work,” said Rep. Rutigliano. “They’re creating highly skilled jobs right here in our backyard, investing in innovation, and helping to strengthen our local economy.”
During his visit, Rep. Rutigliano met with Henkel’s leadership team to talk about their research initiatives, workforce development, and ways to continue supporting businesses that are helping Connecticut grow.
Chiefly, legislators discussed ill-advised proposed legislation on regulating concentration levels in Connecticut that would be distinctively different than other surrounding states and would present unnecessary duplication of existing regulations.
Many companies have already adapted their products to comply with New York's stringent regulations, and a separate Connecticut law that would add impediments without clear benefits.
Henkel, a global leader in adhesives, beauty care, and consumer goods, has deep roots in Trumbull and continues to provide opportunities for local residents to build rewarding, high-tech careers.
