Reps. Rutigliano, Devlin and McGorty to Host Business Forum in Trumbull

TRUMBULL – With the large number of new taxes and regulations hitting Connecticut businesses, State Representatives David Rutigliano (R-123), Laura Devlin (R-134) and Ben McGorty (R-122) are inviting local business owners and employees to join them for a legislative update and discussion about topics affecting the business community during the 2019 legislative session, and the new laws that took effect on October 1st.

The legislators will discuss important pieces of legislation that came before the General Assembly this year, including topics such as the state’s new paid family medical leave program, an increase to the minimum wage and changes to the pass-through entity tax. They will also touch upon changes to the payroll tax and business filing fee increase.

Each of these issues directly impacts Connecticut businesses, and will affect residents across the state.

Following the forum, the legislators will answer questions.

    • Where: Trumbull Town Hall, Council Chambers
    • When: Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019
    • Time: 6:30-7:30pm

Trumbull legislators want to empathize that members of the public are welcome to attend the free event.
