    Dear Trumbull Neighbors,

I wanted to alert you to an important public hearing in the Transportation committee being held on Monday, January 30th. Two pieces of legislation will be heard that were in the news a lot last year.

The first bill requires legislative approval in order to increase rail or bus fare or reduce any transit subsidy program.

    • HB-5773, An Act Requiring Legislative Approval To Increase Rail Or Bus Fare Or Reduce Any Transit Subsidy Program.

The second proposal would prohibit the expenditure of any state funds for a mileage tax study.

    • SB-76, An Act Concerning a Mileage Tax Study

The Transportation Committee Public Hearing will be held, January 30, 11:00AM, Room 1E of the Legislative Office Building.

While these are just, two bills, there is many other transportation bills on the public hearing agenda, click here to view.

    Please make your voices heard!

If you plan to testify make sure your remarks are clear and concise. Written testimony should be turned in before the hearing begins. It will then become part of the permanent legislative record.
