HARTFORD— State Representative David Rutigliano on Wednesday voted against the re-appointment of Marissa Gillett as chairman of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.

The House of the Representatives reappointed Gillett by a 91-52 tally, with 7 Democrats joining 45 House Republicans in opposition.
“Trumbull ratepayers have been hit extremely hard with the sky-high electric bills and deserve some relief. I voted for a reset on the leader of PURA, the agency that regulates the electric utilities, advocating for more transparency and to curb the out-of-control electric rates.”
