    HARTFORD– State Representatives David Rutigliano (R-123) sworn in for new legislative session and also receives new legislative committee assignments from House Republican Leader Themis Klarides as session gaveled-in on January 4th.

    Rutigliano was re-elected to a third term on Nov. 8th and in the days afterward they have prepared themselves for the start of the legislative session that opened on January 4th.

    House Republican Leader Themis Klarides promoted Rep. David Rutigliano to the position of caucus Whip to shape public policy, assisting fellow Republican lawmakers and making sure Republican House members are in attendance to cast their votes on legislative issues.

    Additionally, Rutigliano will serve another term on the legislature’s Labor and Public Employees committee, which has cognizance of all matters relating to workers’ rights, compensation, unemployment compensation, conditions of employment, hours of labor, minimum wages, industrial safety, occupational health and safety, labor unions and labor disputes; and all matters relating to conditions of employment of state and municipal employees and the substantive law of state and municipal employees’ collective bargaining.

    Rep. Rutigliano also was re-appointed to the General Law committee this year. The General Law committee has cognizance of all matters relating consumer protection, fair trade and sales practices, consumer protection, mobile homes and occupational licensing; and all matters relating to alcoholic beverages.

    Additionally, Dave was appointed to the bipartisan Regulation Review committee which reviews regulations proposed by state agencies and approves them before regulations are implemented.
