Rutigliano & McGorty to have Coffee with Constituents at Next Chapter Books

TRUMBULL- State Reps. David Rutigliano (R-123) and Ben McGorty (R-122) will be holding a coffee hour in Trumbull with local constituents on Saturday, January 27th at the Next Chapter Books, Trumbull’s Student-Run Community Bookstore and Coffee Shop.

The students in the ELITE (Educating Learners In Transition Environments) Program, which serves students with special needs at Trumbull Public Schools opened the bookstore last year, giving students with work experience.

The legislative coffee hour will be Saturday, January 27th at 9:30am at Next Chapter Books on 2 Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull.

Both Reps. Rutigliano and McGorty want to hear from their constituents, and any questions or concerns, they might have about state government. The legislators want to hear your ideas for proposed legislation. Under the joint rules of the General Assembly the deadline for submission of proposed bills is 5:00pm on Friday, February 9th.

For anyone who is unable to attend but would like to talk to Rep. Rutigliano or Rep. McGorty, please call their State Capitol office at 1.800.842.1423 or email them at Dave.Rutigliano@housegop.ct.gov and Ben.McGorty@housegop.ct.gov.
