HARTFORD – The NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) hosted a breakfast for legislators, Thurs. at the Hartford Army officers club. Legislators including, Representatives, Dave Rutigliano, Melissa Ziobron, Tami Zawistowski, Chris Davis and Tim Ackert attended the event to discuss current issues effecting small businesses in Connecticut.
The legislators and members of NFIB discussed Connecticut’s current fiscal and budget situation, the costs of opening and running a business in Connecticut, infrastructure costs and concerns, energy, transportation, regulatory climate & government regulations, permits, fees, and set-asides, unemployment insurance costs for businesses, the potential for highway tolls in the state, and numerous other topics concerning increasing the climate for business growth and opportunity in Connecticut.
Rep. Rutigliano said he looks forward to continue meeting and working with NFIB throughout this legislative session and well into the future.
