LITCHFIELD – Rep. Karen Reddington-Hughes (R-66) visited with the civics students at Lakeview High School in Litchfield (Regional School District 20) alongside Governor Lamont 🇺🇸 and First Selectman Denise Raap. “We had a thoughtful and engaging conversation about key issues—from federal policy to local education,” said Reddington-Hughes.

The students were gathered in the auditorium for a presentation and introduction to their locally elected officials.

“I was truly impressed by the students’ insight, curiosity, and commitment to their communities . It’s encouraging to see the next generation so engaged in civic life and ready to shape the future. I encouraged them to stay involved, keep asking questions, and continue making their voices heard,” said Reddington-Hughes, a member of the legislature’s Education Committee.
