HARTFORD – On Tuesday, the House ratified a resolution to enhance survivor benefits for the families of state employees killed in the line of duty. In the event of such a tragedy, surviving families will be eligible for these enhanced benefits, regardless of whether the state employee was eligible for a pension at the time of their death.
This important change will support our roadside workers with the Department of Transportation, as well as the Connecticut State Police.
